Please read carefully the following conditions, the basis for your relationship with Ammanfoodtours.com and Awad Hajjara. Please note that the terms and conditions stated in this policy differ between walking food tours and multi day bookings.
We recommend that you print a copy of this for future reference.
Conditions for Walking Food Tours
All Terms and Conditions apply without exclusion, once you have purchased the ticket(s) for yourself and/or your companions for any tour or service provided by Amman Food Tours, Awad Hajjara and our tour guides.
The tour referred to herein is for physical tours, the duration between when our tour guide commences and concludes the tour with you and/or your companions, for which you have booked a ticket(s).
Payment for Walking Food Tours
Ticket Booking and Payment Prices for Amman Food Tours are quoted in USD and may also appear in your local currency. Every individual is required to book a ticket using our reservation system and advance payment must be made at the time of booking via our online payment system. Only bookings with complete payments will receive a confirmation and a space in the desired tour. All participants must have a confirmation to participate.
Email Tickets
You do not need to print a copy of your tour tickets. Please have it handy on your phone should our tour guide need to see it to confirm participation in the tour. Please note that all tour participants need to have purchased a ticket in advance of the tour. We do not sell walk up tickets at this time.
Tour Price Walking Food Tours
The tour price includes all food and drinks that the tour guide orders for the group at each stop, unless stated otherwise at the time of booking the tour. The tour price may or may not include any transport that the tour guide may use for the group during the tour (e.g. a vehicle and driver for day trip locations). The tour price does not include any items that the tour participant may choose to purchase beyond what is already provided by the tour guide. In such cases, the tour guide will either collect the extra payment from the tour participant or the participant may pay the third party vendor directly on the tour.
Changes and Rescheduling policy for Walking Food Tours
Rescheduling is permitted only if the request is received 7 days or more before the tour and if there is availability on the new date requested. No rescheduling is permitted if the request is received less than 7 days before the tour or if there is no availability on the new date requested.
Cancellations will be assessed on a case by case basis and must be received 14 days before the tour date. Typically credit will be offered for a future booking with Amman Food Tours. Credits will never expire.
Latest Possible Booking
Tours must be booked with 1 day’s advance notice. However, if a tour has space, same day booking can be accommodated up to 1 hour before the tour’s departure time.
Tour Participation Walking Food Tours
You understand and confirm that your participation is completely voluntary. You take responsibility for ensuring that you are mentally and physically capable of participating in the tour. You agree to comply with the instructions in English of the tour guide. If in the opinion of the tour guide, your behavior or physical condition is detrimental to the safety, welfare, and well-being of the group as a whole, or if we consider that your general well-being will be put at risk by continuing with the tour, you may be asked not to participate without the right to any refund of the price.
You fully comprehend and accept all of the risks associated with your participation including, injury or death resulting from exposure to unfavorable weather conditions, food sickness, allergic reactions, choking, and injuries arising from self-inflicted accidents or mishaps, other participants, motor vehicles, and pedestrians. You understand that the tours take place in public venues under conditions largely beyond our control.
Release of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amman Food Tours accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, accident, sickness, injury or death that you or anyone else may suffer or incur arising out of the tours and/or in connection with your booking and tour with us. This includes but is not limited to exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to participating in the company’s tours or utilizing any other services. You are advised to have comprehensive travel and health insurance. All personal effects are at your sole risk at all times during the tour.
Amman food Tours and Awad Hajjara do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. All baggage and personal property at all times are at the client’s risk.
Travel Insurance
It is highly recommended to be insured for the duration of your time in Jordan. You need comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, health requirements, luggage and additional expenses.
Late Arrival Policy Walking Food Tours
Our guide will wait 10 minutes for any late guests. After that time the tour must begin to accommodate the rest of the participants. Guests running late past the tour start time will not be accommodated. The guide is not responsible for for coordinating with any latecomers, nor for providing missed information/food for guests who join after the tour has already started.
Tour Participant Conduct Walking Food Tours
At all times during the tour, you are expected to have consideration for your fellow tour participants and other third parties. For the benefit of everyone, we reserve the right to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed to pose a risk or nuisance to others. We will not refund or cover any cost or expenses incurred due to unacceptable behavior.
Food and Beverage Consumption
All food and beverages consumed during the tour are from third-party establishments (i.e. vendors, cafes, markets, and other related food establishments). We play no role in procuring ingredients or preparing the food/beverages served. We are unable to take any responsibility for any sickness, illness, or injury caused to you or your companions as a result of visiting these establishments or consuming their food and beverages within.
For any experiences which involve procuring ingredients from the market (such as tasings inside the market) the guest agrees to take the full liability of the foods consumed and will not hold us or any of our third-party vendors/contractors responsible. You understand, accept, and take full responsibility for the potential risks and hazards of consuming foods and beverages during the tour.
Dietary Restrictions, Allergies, and Medical Conditions
You are required to let us know of any (a) dietary restrictions, (b) allergies, and (c) other medical conditions related to either walking or eating/drinking, at the time of booking a ticket for the tour. While there is no guarantee of our being able to accommodate any dietary restrictions, we will do our best to do so. In the case of dietary restrictions or allergies, it is imperative that you remind the tour guide of the allergy before consuming any food/beverage during the tour, so that we can verify with the food establishment regarding the ingredients.
While we will do our best to see that allergies that have been communicated to us are well taken care of, we cannot take any responsibility for any incidents resulting due to allergies caused to you as a result of food or beverage consumption from third-party vendors during the tour.
Minimum Tour Attendance Walking Food Tours
Our tours are subject to minimum bookings as stated on the tour page on our website. If the minimum is not met we may reach out for a cancellation or the possibility to reschedule to another day.
Weather
Typically our tours run rain or shine. Please dress for the weather. Fall, winter and spring in Amman can see cold and wet weather (even snow!) In the case of a cancellation due to inclement weather, we will offer a full refund or reschedule to any date of your choice, as per your preference.
Tour Itinerary Walking Food Tours
Our tours give our guides the flexibility to make adjustments as necessary and as they see fit. This is based on several factors such as participants’ interest, pace of walking, allergies/dietary restrictions, etc. We always inform our vendors in advance of our arrival but we can take no responsibility for food substitutions or if a vendor has run out of a particular dish.
Transportation: Walking & Mobile Transport
You agree that you are able and willing to walk throughout the distance and duration listed on the website for that specific tour. You are responsible for your own safety while walking during the tour. We will do everything in our capacity to follow a safe tour route, but we do not claim responsibility for any illness, injuries, accidents, loss, damage or theft caused to you by a third party (either person or organization) during the tour.
We are unable to assume any liability for accidents, delays, injuries, loss or damage due to any act or default of such external vendors, engaged in transporting passengers.
Cancellations by Amman Food Tours
We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, even though this situation is highly unlikely to arise. In a situation where we have canceled the tours, we will fully refund all ticket bookings for that day OR reschedule to another date of your preference. You will have complete discretion in determining whether to obtain a refund or reschedule.
By purchasing the ticket(s), you and/or your companions affirm that you have all fully understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Conditions for Private Day Tours and Multi-Day Tours with Amman Food Tours and Awad Hajjara
Deposit
Multi Day bookings and tours with Awad Hajjara require a deposit. All deposits are non-refundable. Receipt of deposit will be taken as an understanding by Amman Food Tours that the customer has checked their confirmed travel arrangements and has read and agreed to the terms and conditions. We reserve the right to release the booking dates without notice if no deposit was made within 7 days after we have confirmed the booking details of the tour.
Email Tickets
If your private tour has been provided with an email ticket, you do not need to print a copy of your tour tickets. Please have it handy on your phone should our tour guide need to see it to confirm participation in the tour.
Final Payment
Payment in full must be made before the tour begins unless other arrangements have been made. These will be communicated in writing as a part of the tour details.
Prices
All prices for our tours are advised in United States Dollars (USD). Amman Food Tours and Awad Hajjara reserves the right to vary the price of the tour if taxes or other cost increase. We cannot be held responsible for any service that we are unable to provide due to that particular component being unavailable.
Cancellations
Cancellation fees for private bookings will forfeit the original non-refundable deposit. We are happy to move your dates if we are given more than 30 days notice. The purpose of the deposit is to hold those dates for your tour. When less than 30 days notice is given for cancellation, the deposit is used to compensate the guide and any other particulars of the booking.
Refunds
No refunds will be given for private day trip and multi day trips. Please purchase cancellation insurance through your insurance provider to cover any costs that may arise.
Claims
If you encounter any problems, you should to try and solve it directly whilst on holiday.
Travel Insurance
It is highly recommended to be insured for the duration of your trip. You need comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, health requirements, luggage and additional expenses (e.g. World Nomads). Insurance policies rarely cover for loss of cash.
Accomodations
There may be variations in the size, standard and presentation of rooms and facilities within the one hotel. This is beyond the control of Amman Food Tours.
PASSPORT, VISA & VACCINATIONS
You must familiarize yourself with any visa and health requirements that may be applicable. You are responsible for all entry/exit health and any other documents required by laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Please note that passport and visa requirements are not the responsibility of Amman Food Tours and Awad Hajjara. We recommend that you be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay in Jordan.
Tour Participation Liabilities
You understand and confirm that your participation is completely voluntary. You take responsibility for ensuring that you are mentally and physically capable of participating in the tour. You agree to comply with the instructions in English of the tour guide.
Amman Food Tours and Awad Hajjara shall not be responsible for any loss, injury death or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of God, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
This includes but is not limited to exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to participating in the company’s tours or utilizing any other services. You are advised to have comprehensive travel and health insurance.
We are unable to assume any liability for accidents, delays, injuries, loss or damage due to any act or default of such external vendors, engaged in transporting passengers.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels and transportation companies etc. Hotels and transportation companies retain the right to modify the rates without notice.
Amman Food Tours and Awad Hajjara shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the program or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, immigration procedures, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closure or any untoward incidents.
Amman food Tours and Awad Hajjara do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. All baggage and personal property at all times are at the client’s risk.
Amman Food Tours reserves the right at any time by giving the notice in writing to cancel this agreement, should the 2nd party fail to fulfill the terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, even though this situation is highly unlikely to arise. In a situation where we have canceled the tours, we will fully refund all fees that have been paid.
COVID-19 Waiver of Liability
You acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that Amman Food Tours cannot guarantee that you will not become infected. You acknowledge that you must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending your tour. You attest that, you are not experiencing any symptoms of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell, you have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as noncontagious by local public health authorities
